Chi Linh Star Golf is located in Chi Linh city (Hai Duong), more than 70 km from downtown Hanoi. This golf club is highly appreciated by golfers not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. Besides, Chi Linh Golf Course has won recognition as the most challenging golf course in Vietnam. Therefore, professional golfers can hardly ignore this exciting venue for competitions.
I.G.C.S (Independent Golf Course Services), a leading Australian golf course design and construction company, is in charge of designing and constructing Chi Linh Golf Course. The club is the first project of I.G.C.S in Vietnam. The golf course is built with the highest quality materials in the world. Its greens are covered with Tiff Eagle grass, which ensures smooth and fast playing surfaces year-round. Besides, the most advanced technology imported from the US and Australia promises that the golf course is always at its best.
The area of the golf course is 325 ha. Chi Linh Golf is inside a beautiful valley and surrounded by majestic green hills. A natural lake is in the center of the golf course. All of these create standard playing conditions and challenging features for the course. Chi Linh Golf Club has a professional team that daily maintains these elements to ensure playing conditions. Thanks to this, golfers always have the best experience on the course.
Chi Linh Golf topography and hole descriptions
Chi Linh Star Golf Country Club Vietnam opened the first 9-holes in November 2003. In 2008, the club continued to put 18 more holes into operation and increased the course size to 27 holes. All of these holes are well-placed to fit all golfers of any handicap.
For an early test, the second hole features a par-4 tee shot with a length of 380 yards. It requires a long carry to reach the island green. Other intriguing holes are the par-5 fifth one. This hole lies on the hillside down the right of the fairway and slopes into a lake earlier down on the left side. On back nine, golfers proceeding to the last hole encounter the toughest approach. This 18th hole with uphill par-5 and 680 yards can make golf enthusiasts desire to get a net par.
With such attractive holes located on three yards, Chi Linh Star Golf is indeed a challenge for golfers.
Yard A - Hill Side: Following the natural hills, the yard is designed in a zigzag shape. Its uphill teeing grounds and broken greens create an undulating topography for the course. Such terrain brings golfers into a challenging but intriguing experience indeed.
Yard B - Valley Course: Yard B has a long fairway and clear vision. The surface of the yard is relatively flat but has a lot of water hazards surrounding greens. And the greens often descend following the slope of the topography.
Yard C - Lake Course: The yard is located in an area with a large lake. Fairway topography is relatively flat, but green slopes raise the difficulty of putting the ball into the hole.
Services and facilities
- Dressing room: The dressing rooms include Hot Spa, hot tub, long closet, bathroom, and massage services.
- Clubhouse: The clubhouse of the Chi Linh Star golf course is arranged at an elevated position in the golf course. Standing at the clubhouse, golfers or visitors can see the panoramic view around the golf course and see more than 22 holes on 27 holes of the course.
