The golf course overview
Nested on the pretty coast of Phan Thiet, you will find Ocean Dunes Golf Club. This link-style golf course prominently features sand dunes, sea breezes, and a wonderful view of the East Sea. It is reviewed by Asian Golf Monthly as among the 10 best resort courses in Asia.
The course was opened in 1996 and it quickly became the best link-style course in Southeast Asia. It is a par 72 course of 18 holes in total, with a length of 6725 yards. Designed by Nick Faldo, the Masters, and British Open champion Nick Faldo, the course features everything that makes a golf course special, playable, and interesting. Golfers will notice windswept sand dunes, coastal vegetation, and of course, amazing sea views. Faldo uses the existing dunes to route the course as well as bring the barren feel to the course. From afar, players can see the soft elevation with sand bunkers scattered around Ocean Dunes Golf Course. Moreover, there are also water hazards at the front nine. However, the challenging part is the constant breeze from the sea, demanding every shot to be strategically calculated. That does not mean the course is exclusive for experienced golfers, it is actually really playable for both high and low handicap golfers. The generously large fairways use Bermuda grass, which is suitable for its heat resistance, drought resistance and can be quickly repaired. The course’s condition is perfect year-round.
Holes description
The holes of Ocean Dunes Mũi Né will make every golfer satisfied. The natural elements of the landscape combined with the elevations, sand dunes, vegetation and mounds will test the best golfer. One of the best holes of the course is hole 12, a par 4 play right by the sea so golfers need to pay attention to the wind. In addition, players will also feel relaxed as they admire the view of the ocean with fishing boats on the horizon. Hole 3 and 8 are also interesting as golfers can enjoy the view of an ancient Buddhist temple as well as a Vietnamese tomb. However, the star of the course is hole 9 par 3. It has a length of 148 yards with the hole protected by the elevated green, palm trees, and bunkers to the right and verdant hillock to the left. Moreover, there is also a hidden slot that players need to shoot through to reach the target. This hole gains a reputation for one of the best 500 holes all around the world by Golf Magazine’s selection.

Ocean Dunes Golf Club features a Clubhouse with a view of the entire course as well as the majestic volcanic mountains and the lovely sea.
