Twin Doves Golf is one of the first golf clubs in Vietnam ever launched with an exclusive “member only” policy. Although this kind of golf club is quite new in Vietnam, it has contributed to building variety and stimulate the development of golf. Under this new format, Twin Doves offers many great advantages and good golfing conditions adapting to golfer’s demand.
Designed by P&Z Development, Twin Doves Golf Club is a 27-hole par 72/36 course stretching over 7282/3685 yards. This Ho Chi Minh golf course is divided into 3 courses named Luna, Sole, and Stella.
Each course distinguishes itself from the natural landscape in the area. For example, the Luna course has many rolling hills success with forests and the obstacles are also cleverly arranged. Starting off from the 1st hole, the Luna course stretches 400 yards from the gold tee. This course also offers night golf with a high standard lighting system serving all the passionate night golfers. Sole Course starts from par 4 hole 1 with many challenging long holes and bunkers set right behind the greens. Advanced golfers will enjoy this course as it requires a lot of calculation and high accuracy in every shot. Lastly, Stella comes out as a sweet treat for its stunning natural landscape and breathtaking views at each hole. Stella Course features many creeks and trees making it scenic but golfers still need to pay attention to each shot. In general, Twin Doves Golf Club is still new and maturing so there are not many big trees but bunkers and water hazards play the protecting roles instead.
Hole description
Luna Course
Starting with the challenging 1st par 4 hole, this is an uphill shot to a green protected by a bunker in front and a small pot bunker. The 2nd hole is a par-5 which requires a long drive to avoid the large bunker and bring the green within reach as well. Hole 3 and 4 are both medium length holes with bunkers placed strategically to be avoided. As the green is higher than the fairway at hole 4th, you need more calculation to have an accurate approaching shot. The 8th hole on Luna Course is a downhill par 5 will make it easier for accurate shots but also many penalties await if you miss the green.
Sole Course
This slightly uphill par 4 1st hole needs an accurate tee shot to get over two fairway bunkers and also a large bunker protecting the green need avoiding. Hole 2 is a tricky par 5 as it’s tough to reach the green in two if you cannot carry three bunkers on the right of the fairway. But the par-3 3rd hole may be the trickiest with many dangers to trap the errant tee shot. A long shot over the lake and then a bunker may frustrate golfers a little bit for its difficulty. Hole 6 is another long hole and testing player, this par 4 has three bunkers in total to avoid on the right. The green is protected by three bunkers thus making the approach not easy at all. The game goes on at hole 7, 8 when the bunkers keep getting larger and making it very challenging for golfers at these two holes.
Stella Course
Starting the course with 2 gentle first holes then you get to an uphill par-4 3rd hole with a menacing large bunker guarding the front of the green. Then hole 4 is a long downhill par 4, here you prefer a longer hit to simply get approach to the green but there’s also a stream awaiting for the wayward shot. A slightly uphill par-4 7th hole challenges the strong golfer to reach the green with his tee shot. Ending the round with the final hole which is very well protected by the bunkers and you need to find the fairway away from one of these bunkers.
